In 2015, after 20 years of experience in tourism and marketing at the intersection of product and market, supply and demand, Liesbeth Balthazar launched INTO THE SAILS. The company, specialised in PR, marketing and trade consultancy, has a clear mission to catch the trade wind in your sails / sales.
Liesbeth Balthazar started working in the tourism industry immediately after completing her Master's degree in Roman Philology (Ghent University, Belgium) and her second Master's degree in Business Communication (Ghent University, Belgium / Paris IV Sorbonne, France). Over the years, she has acquired multidisciplinary expertise and a wide network through various functions at Thomas Cook Belgium, as Quality Manager, Product Manager and Brand Manager. Liesbeth has extensive experience in the luxury travel sector. As Brand Manager responsible for Pegase, Thomas Cook Belgium's premium brand, she specialised in the strategic marketing of luxury travel. Daily responsibility for various products and brands, combined with numerous marketing and management courses, has given her a thorough knowledge of both the market and marketing in the tourism industry.
Delfine Mestdagh holds a Master's degree in Applied Economics (Ghent University, Belgium) and adds another 15 years of expertise in product management and passion for travel.
After graduating in Communication Management (Arteveldehogeschool, Ghent, Belgium), Rachel Macaluso gained 8 years of experience at a leading media group.
Heike Van Hove graduated in Communication Management (Arteveldehogeschool, Ghent, Belgium) and joined the team after a successful 3 months traineeship at Into the Sails.
